Our experience of teaching a foreign language at an early school age was gained during the second half of the last century through organized experiments on which the current teaching models for foreign languages have been built for a long time. This paper is, therefore, about the establishment of bilingual teaching at the "Vladislav Ribnikar" Elementary School and an experiment that was organized by the Educational and Pedagogical Institute of the City of Belgrade and conducted in the teaching of four foreign languages from 1968 to 1977.
