Abstract

The paper deals with the teaching of the Spanish language in a pluricultural environment. The research is based on the example of international schools in Mostar, where the Spanish language is one of the subjects chosen by the students of this school, and who, at the same time, come from different parts of the world. Through an open-ended questionnaire, students provided answers to questions related to the acquisition of the Spanish language. The aim of the research is to point out the attitude of students in relation to this process, since they are aware that such a diverse cultural environment affects their learning process and the emergence of languages and the world around them. At the same time, the intention of the paper is to emphasize the importance of developing intercultural communication during foreign language learning, in order to improve the quality of teaching and contribute to the formation of competent intercultural speakers.
